There did exist a small portion of space where spirituality could enter and take root, they have to be in the right environment and maintain healthy relationships with people of color for room in that space to grow. Often I’ve heard whites refer to us as a Simian race. There slight is two fold: 1) they base on our appearance ; and, 2) it is based on what they recognize as a historical pattern where we mimic their behavior.While the first of the two is not worthy of discussion, I find the second one worthy of discussion. This is because of our history in this country.

By our history, I mean those of us whose ancestors were indeed slaves. While enslaved and post slavery, our behavior (good or bad, righteous or wicked) has (even today) been based on their understandings of the two. Our so called transgressions, values and (respectfully) even standards were and are based on what we learned from those slave masters and their children.

In short, we know not sin, but sin through them. We know not wickedness but wickedness through them.How can a man (men) (people) who have no first and last names commit sins? As the true identity of who we still does not appear fully to our comprehension, indeed, we, through the baptism of the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade yet remain undefined, pure and unstained before God/Allah … etc…
